"Merry
Christmas" , I baked a eggless cake for this
Christmas and it turned out perfect, hence liked to share it with you all
folks.
Eggless
Cake
No. of Serving : 7 inch diameter cake
Ingredients
Butter - 100 gms
Sugar - 1 1/4 cups
Curd - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/4 cup
Maida - 2 cups
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1 tsp
Vanilla Essence - 1
tsp
Preparation Method
1. Sieve maida, baking powder and baking soda.
Keep aside.
2. Whisk curd and milk to a smooth mixture. Keep
aside.
3. In a mixing bowl, mix melted butter, sugar and
curd and mix well till the sugar dissolves.
4. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
5. Add the maida mix little by little and mix well
but gently.
6. Grease a 7 inch diameter cake mould with butter
and dust it with maida.
7. Put the cake mixture in the greased mould and
bake in a preheated oven 170 degree for 35 minutes. Check after 25 minutes if
the cake is done by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it
comes out clean the cake is done.
Note:
You can also add tutti fruiti to the cake mixture.
