My twist on this
regular traditional porridge is that I have added apple for more nutrition and
flavour. Apple has lots of nutrients in it. It's extremely high in
antioxidants, flavanoids and dietary fibre. It helps reduced heart diseases,
diabetics, hypertension and cancer.
Millet Apple Porridge
No. of Serving : 3
Ingredients
Millet flour - 1 cup
Water - 500 ml
Cardamom powder - 1/2
tsp
Milk - 100 ml
Apple - 1 medium
Preparation
Method
1. Peel and grind apple into a puree, keep aside.
2. To the 500 ml of water mix millet flour and
keep over medium flame and keep stirring continuously till it is cooked. This
will take around 10 minutes.
3. Add the apple puree and cardamom and milk and
boil for 5 minutes.
4. Serve hot or at room temperature.
Healthy porridge.. Adding apple is indeed a nice way to make it healthy plus interesting !!
